I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
